Another example of high quality Chinese manufacturing...

This picture pretty much sums up the disposable nature of everything these days. I love the fact that the building didn't collapse, it just sort of fell over.

In fairness, it was likely due to a flood that eroded dirt around the foundation, but it's more fun to think that they are building disposable condos in China :)

Cheers!

ARTFUL BLOGGER DID YOU DESIGN THE FACADE ON THE BUILDING THAT FELL OVER? I WOULDNT MAKE FUN OF CHINA FOR MUCH LONGER, FRIEND. THEY ARE ABOUT TO CALL IN OUR DEBT, AND WHEN WE CAN'T PAY, THEY WILL ASSUME OWNERSHIP OF ALL GOVERNMENT PROPERTY, WHICH NOW INCLUDES BANKS AND GM. ALSO, SINCE THEY WILL OWN THE BANK THAT YOUR MONEY IS IN, THEY WILL OWN YOUR MONEY, HAHA WHO IS LAUGHING AT CHINA NOW!!!

First thanks for the comment, it's always good to hear from readers. Second, there's a little key on the left hand side of your keyboard called CAPS LOCK. Press it now --- please :)

Finally, with regards to China despite what the cable news talking heads say they own less than 10% of our outstanding debt. Who owns most of our debt? Americans through our pensions, 401ks, etc.

The big winner over the next 50 years is likely to be a resource rich nation with an educated population of young ambitious workers. China clearly fits the bill on a number of those criteria and would be in my final four if I was doing a bracketology of where should my kids live for the next 50 years (along with India, US and probably a longshot like Canada or Nigeria).

I don't mean to laugh at the building collapse. It was a serious event, but it speaks to the experience I've had with far too many consumer products made in China. My old Japanese-made TV is still kicking after 20 years while my 2 years old Chinese computer and flat panel TV both died in the last month (along with a friends refrigerator, A/C unit and water cooler - all of which were under 2 yrs old).

Thanks again.
